The Neptunian personality type is the softest and kindest of the planetary personalities. They are hardly rigid about setting boundaries and prefer to go with the flow. With their easily malleable personalities, the Neptunian type does not seek to gain power over others. Rather, they think more in terms of how to coexist and increase harmony in their surroundings.

The Neptunian types have an innate desire of merging with others. When kept in check, this could be a blissful and romantic pursuit, but can quickly turn toxic if left to its own devices.

Being extremely empathetic by nature, Neptunians often mirror the emotions and energies of their surroundings. They are highly sensitive people, and deeply feel, or even absorb, what is being expressed around them.

An interesting aspect of their personality is the concept of projection. Being the romantic types, they will often target a real person, or even a celebrity crush, and project their feelings on them. Brimming with deep feelings of love and attachment, they can smother their center of attention with romance and affection, so that their love can materialize in a physical form.

They are dreamy people, living and feeding off emotions and vibes. The Neptunian type requires serious grounding at times, to distinguish between what is real versus what is going on in their heads. They often feel like they are floating around above ground, with no physical form or shape, and no concept of past and future.

Their biggest power, their ability to feel deeply, and mirror those feelings, can often be the cause of their destruction. Being the epitome of love, kindness and forgiveness, Neptunains are often taken for granted. A slight change in energy would never go unnoticed by a Neptunian, and they can dwell on the reasons of change in someone’s tone or beahviour for hours on length, torturing themselves in the process.

Neptunians give a lot of love to others and need the same in return to go on. The downside of living through vibes and emotions is that they remain disconnected from reality, in their own world of projections and delusions. An honest, grounded friend is definitely a need for a Neptunian–someone to bring them back to reality.

They are escapists by nature, and more often than not, their form of escape is mental rather than physically distancing from the situation. This makes them quiver in the face of defeat or danger, and thus makes them a weak personality type.
